About Censilcoating

A flat, first-hand trader — sitting exactly where the market needs one.

Censilcoating is the waterborne-matting sub-brand of Censil. We sit between the giants' expensive "price umbrella" and China's low-end price war — a safe, defensible niche built on 1:1 parity, customization and speed.

Where we sit in the market

Three tiers compete in Southeast Asia's matting-agent market. Our position in the middle is the safe one.

Tier 1 · Monopolists

US / EU / JP giants

Evonik (OK 412), Grace (ED 30 / RAD 2105). Extremely high price ($6,000–$9,000/ton), monopolizing premium formulations and sold through large distributors taking ~20% margin.

Tier 2 · That's us

Censilcoating

Technical private manufacturer / independent trader. Censil660, Censil1650A and the full range — 1:1 benchmark replacements, 25–30% lower price, with customization and hands-on support.

Tier 3 · Commodity

Low-end silica plants

Ordinary precipitated silica and untreated matting powder. No wax-treatment technology, prone to hard sediment — unable to enter the premium waterborne / UV market.

The giants' soft spot: Evonik and Grace sell into SE Asia through large distributors (Brenntag, DKSH, Redox) who add ~20% — keeping end prices high. As a flat, first-hand trader, we sit precisely between that expensive price umbrella and the low-end price war. It's a safe niche.

Our market focus

Southeast Asia — with a sharp focus on Vietnam and Malaysia, deliberately avoiding Europe's tariff-heavy, hyper-competitive market.

Tier 1 — first to win

Local distributors (10–50 t/mo)

Each holds 30–50 local furniture- or plastic-coating plants and buys by the full container (10–12 t). Win one, and you ship 1–2 containers a month. They handle local customs, invoicing, delivery and credit terms.

Tier 2 — keep lines busy

Coating manufacturers (2–10 t/mo)

Mid-size waterborne wood-coating plants running 100–200 t/mo of paint at ~3% loading consume 3–6 t/mo of matting agent — one container lasts 2–3 months.

Tier 3 — margin icing

Auto & 3C plastic coatings (0.2–1.5 t/mo)

Ultra-thin 10–15μm films mean low volume but very high unit price and rich margin — perfect upside once Tier 1 and 2 are stable.
