The new grade is now available with free 2 kg evaluation samples for coating manufacturers in Vietnam and Malaysia.
Censil660 features a narrow particle-size distribution centred at 5.0–5.3 µm (d50), with a pore volume of 1.8 mL/g and an organic surface treatment optimized for waterborne acrylic and polyurethane dispersions. In side-by-side benchmark testing, Censil660 matched Evonik ACEMATT OK 412 and Grace SYLOID 244 across all critical parameters: 60° gloss at equal dosage, water-white film clarity on dark substrates, viscosity stability over 30 days, and scratch resistance.
Addressing a gap in the Southeast Asian supply chain
Waterborne wood coating production in Vietnam and Malaysia has grown rapidly, driven by furniture export demand and environmental regulations phasing out solventborne systems. However, formulators in the region have historically relied on imported European matting agents, facing lead times of 6–8 weeks, minimum order quantities designed for large-scale buyers, and pricing that erodes competitiveness.
